Throw axes, collect fuels, and survive the endless train journey!
BrokenRails is a mobile side-scrolling endless runner with a simple, skill-based throwing mechanic and a few light roguelite elements. You control a steam locomotive and throw axes to collect fuel from hanging logs — some swing back and forth, some spin in a circular motion, and others fly around on drones. Each log that lands in the hatch speeds up your train, helping you jump across gaps in broken tracks. But if your train goes too fast, the boiler might explode unless you slow it down in time.
I originally made BrokenRails for the Godot Wild Jam, and decided to keep building on it afterward. I'm working on adding more variety, a simple run-based currency system, and ways to keep each run feeling fresh. It's still a small project, but I hope it brings a bit of fun and challenge to whoever plays it.
